What are common errors when calculating NRR manually?

The manual calculations of NRR may be incorrect when partial overs are over-counted (e.g. 23.4 overs will be counted as 23.4 instead of 23 + 4/6). The results are also distorted by disregarding unfinished or wet matches. Teams often make use of the total overs (e.g. 50) when they are bowled out too soon- this should be taken into account. Averages will be affected by errors such as no-balls or extras. The fact that going to a karate club 2 times a week is not on the same level of sports fitness as playing 5 days yet W takes 2 and D take 0 is corrected by the SportzBuzz calculator and the right adjustment of the balls to part of overs is issued hence more accurate.

This is a great point! Manual NRR calculations can easily go wrong, especially with fractional overs and ignored extras. That’s why tools like the Calculadora Alicia Mejorada are so helpful—they handle ball-to-over conversions correctly and give more reliable results than quick manual math.
