Hello everyone.

I'm considering the WOPET automatic pet feeder for my cat while I'm away on weekend or 3–4 day trips. I’ve read some mixed reviews online and wanted to hear from real users here. How reliable is it when it comes to dispensing food on schedule?

Have you had any issues with jams, WiFi connectivity, or portion accuracy? Also, how secure is the lid—can a curious cat break in? I’m especially interested in the model with app control. Any long-term experiences or tips would be super helpful before I buy.

Thanks in advance!

I've been using the app-controlled version for over a year now, mostly for weekend trips, and it’s been pretty reliable overall. It dispenses food on schedule without issues as long as your WiFi connection is stable. The app is easy to use, though it occasionally loses connection—restarting the feeder usually fixes it.

The WOPET automatic pet feeder has had no major problems with jams as long as you use standard-sized kibble (nothing oversized or irregular). Portion accuracy is decent, but I’d recommend doing a few tests before relying on it.

As for the lid—it's fairly secure, but a determined or clever cat could eventually figure it out, especially if they're food-driven. I added a bit of Velcro as a backup, just in case.

All in all, it’s a solid feeder for short trips. Just make sure it’s placed on a flat, stable surface and test it before leaving.
