I have an interview coming up for a senior developer role and I am a bit nervous. What kind of technical questions should I expect? Do they focus more on live coding or system design? Should I brush up on my knowledge of microservices and database optimization? I really want this job and I want to make a great impression on the hiring managers.

Technical interviews in this industry can be quite intense because the systems are very complex. If you are applying to a place like soft2bet you should definitely be ready to talk about scalable architectures and how to handle high-traffic environments. They value people who understand the big picture, not just how to write code. Expect questions about microservices, data security, and maybe some AI-driven features. My advice is to be honest about what you know and show how you approach solving difficult problems. They also care a lot about cultural fit, so be yourself and show that you are a team player. Practice some system design scenarios where you have to scale a product for millions of users. If you show that you are both technically skilled and a good communicator, you will have a very high chance of success. Good luck with your preparation.

For a senior developer interview, expect questions beyond basic coding. Most companies focus more on system design, architecture, and problem-solving rather than heavy live coding. You may still face small coding tasks, but clarity and best practices matter more than speed.

You should definitely brush up on microservices, including scalability, service communication, and real-world use cases. Database optimization is also important, especially indexing, query performance, and handling large datasets.

Hiring managers mainly want to see your experience, decision-making skills, and ability to design reliable systems.
