I’ve been wondering this for a while now how do people actually make ads in this space that get clicks without looking spammy or desperate? I keep seeing some campaigns do really well while others just sit there with zero engagement.

When I first tried running Campaigns using this guide Adult Advertising Campaigns, I honestly thought just putting bold images and catchy lines would be enough. Turns out it’s not that simple. My early attempts either got ignored or felt too aggressive, which probably pushed people away instead of pulling them in.

One thing I noticed after testing a few variations is that subtle curiosity works better than being too obvious. Like instead of showing everything upfront, hinting at something makes people want to click more. Also, the wording matters way more than I expected. Simple, natural phrases seem to perform better than overhyped ones.

Another issue I faced was targeting. At first, I didn’t really think much about who would actually see the ads. But once I started narrowing it down and matching the ad style to the audience, things improved a bit. Not a huge jump, but definitely noticeable.

What helped me the most was just experimenting without overthinking every detail. I stopped trying to make the “perfect” ad and instead tested small changes like different headlines, images, and formats. Some failed, some worked okay, but each one gave me a better idea of what clicks with people.

I wouldn’t say I’ve mastered it yet, but it feels less random now. If you’re struggling like I was, maybe focus less on being flashy and more on being relatable and a bit intriguing. That shift alone made a difference for me.
