Does anyone ever buy likes for their social media posts?

I've been noticing some friends with really high like counts on their social media photos, and I can't help but wonder how they do it. Some of their posts don't seem to get much engagement in the comments, but the likes are always through the roof. It makes me curious about whether people actually buy likes for their posts. Does anyone have any experience with that, or know people who do?

Businesses and individuals sometimes buy social media engagement to make their content appear more popular, which can then attract more organic interaction.
