I recently received a contact list in an Excel file (XLS/XLSX), but I am finding it very difficult to open or import these contacts directly on my iPhone. iOS does not seem to support Excel-based contacts natively, and manual entry is not practical when there are hundreds of contacts. Why does this problem occur, and is there any reliable converter that can help me open or import Excel contacts on my iPhone easily?

Opening Excel contacts on an iPhone is not that simple, because iPhones don’t support Excel files like XLS or XLSX. They only read VCF (vCard) format. I faced the same problem and that’s when I used ToolsBaer XLS to VCF Converter. Honestly, it made things much easier. The tool converts all Excel contacts into VCF without messing up the data. Names, phone numbers, emails, addresses, company details, and even birthdays stay proper.
You can choose to save all contacts in one VCF file or separate files, which is helpful. It also allows you to map Excel columns with vCard fields, so nothing goes in the wrong place. One good thing is you don’t need MS Excel installed it works on its own on Windows. After conversion, importing contacts to iPhone or iCloud is quick and smooth.
