Which countries are easiest to target with gambling ads right now?

Something I’ve been thinking about lately—are there actually “easy” countries left for gambling ads, or is everything just getting stricter everywhere? Feels like every time I find a decent GEO, it either gets saturated or suddenly hits you with restrictions. Curious if others feel the same, because this has been one of my biggest headaches recently.

When I first started running gambling ads, I assumed it was all about creatives and landing pages. But honestly, GEO choice turned out to be just as important, if not more. I even went down a rabbit hole reading different takes on gambling adverts and how regulations differ across regions. That’s when it really clicked—some countries are just way easier to work with than others.

The main problem I kept running into was compliance. Tier-1 countries like the US or UK look attractive because of high payouts, but they’re tough. You need licenses, strict ad policies, and even then accounts can get flagged. I burned through time and budget just trying to “make it work” there. It felt like fighting the system more than actually running campaigns.

So I started testing other regions, mostly Tier-2 and Tier-3 countries. That’s where things got interesting. Countries in parts of Eastern Europe, Latin America, and some Asian regions turned out to be way more flexible. Less red tape, cheaper traffic, and honestly, users still convert pretty well.

For example, I had decent results in countries like Brazil and Mexico. The traffic is affordable, and users are pretty engaged with gambling offers. It’s not perfect—payment methods and localization matter a lot—but compared to stricter regions, it felt much smoother to run campaigns.

Eastern Europe was another surprise for me. Places like Romania or Serbia seemed less saturated, and I didn’t face as many compliance issues. Plus, competition wasn’t as aggressive, which made testing easier and less expensive.

One thing I noticed, though—“easy” doesn’t mean “effortless.” Even in more relaxed countries, you still need to adapt your creatives. What works in one GEO can totally flop in another. Language, cultural tone, even colors—it all matters more than I expected.

I also tried some Asian markets, like India and Indonesia. Mixed results there. Traffic is cheap and volume is high, but conversions depend heavily on the offer and trust factor. Users can be skeptical, so landing pages need to feel legit. Still, I wouldn’t call them hard—just different.

If I had to sum up what I’ve learned, it’s this: the “easiest” countries for gambling ads right now are usually the ones that balance three things—reasonable regulations, affordable traffic, and decent user intent. You won’t always get huge payouts like Tier-1, but you’ll actually be able to run campaigns without constant roadblocks.

Personally, I’ve stopped chasing only high-value GEOs and started focusing more on stability. I’d rather have a campaign that runs smoothly in a mid-tier country than struggle endlessly in a high-paying but restrictive one.

Of course, things keep changing. A country that works today might get stricter tomorrow. So I think the real strategy is to keep testing and not rely too heavily on one GEO. Spread risk, stay flexible, and don’t assume what worked last year will still work now.

That’s just my experience though—curious to hear where others are finding success right now. Always feels like there’s some hidden gem GEO out there that nobody’s talking about yet.
