I honestly don't know how these people sleep at night. So after my back injury I was out for about three months, then my doctor cleared me for light duty with restrictions on lifting and bending. I went back to work and my employer put me on this modified schedule doing administrative stuff, which was fine for a couple weeks. Then out of nowhere my supervisor tells me they don't have enough light duty work to keep me on and says I can either take a leave of absence or just "think about whether this job is still working for me." I told him I wanted to stay and he basically said there's nothing for me to do so I should just go home. A week later I get a letter from the insurance company saying my benefits are being stopped because I voluntarily resigned. I never resigned! I literally told them I wanted to keep working. Now I'm stuck with no paycheck and I don't know how to prove I didn't quit.
