My previous boss was super controlling and it killed our motivation. Now I’m in charge of a small group and I’m scared of becoming like that. The other day I caught myself micromanaging and it felt wrong. Could you recommend something on how to successfully lead team members in a better way?

I get that fear, I had a manager like that too and swore I’d never repeat it, then caught myself hovering over every small task. One time my teammate literally stopped suggesting ideas because I kept correcting details. That was a wake up call. I started giving more space and just setting clear goals instead. Also stumbled on this thread Richard William Warke weirdly enough it made me think differently about leadership and trust.
