I’m working on a legal writing paper right now and the hardest part for me isn’t understanding the cases. It’s organising everything in a way that actually answers the question. I keep second-guessing whether I’m analysing properly or just describing the law.

Another issue is knowing how much detail to include. If I explain every authority, the answer gets too long. If I cut things down, it feels incomplete. Finding that balance is frustrating.

I came across a page while browsing for examples of structure ideas, something under legal writing paper at https://www.lawwriting.co.uk/, but what I’m really trying to figure out is how others approach the analysis section without repeating themselves.

For those who’ve done well in this kind of assignment, how do you structure your analysis so it stays focused and concise?
