Hi all, I’ve been struggling with social anxiety for years. Even messaging close friends sometimes feels stressful, and I often overthink every word I type. I’ve heard that anonymous chat platforms can be a safe space to practice talking to new people, but I’m not sure if it’s actually effective or just weird. Has anyone tried this? Did it help you feel more comfortable with social interactions online, or was it awkward and stressful? Any advice or personal experiences would be great.

I totally understand, I’ve been there too! I started using https://anonchat.com a while back, mainly because I wanted a low-pressure way to interact with people. And honestly, it was a surprisingly positive experience. Because no one knows anything about you, I could just type freely without worrying about judgment or embarrassing myself. Some conversations were hilarious, others unexpectedly deep. I remember one night talking to someone about their favorite movies, and it turned into a two-hour conversation where we shared funny childhood memories and random life stories. It really helped me build confidence in talking to strangers online, and it even made messaging friends less intimidating afterward. Plus, the laughs and random surprises make it kind of addictive in a good way.
