Guys, I really need some advice! I'm struggling to collect data on companies in our city from Google Maps, doing it manually is just torture, I need to go through hundreds of businesses. Can someone suggest the easiest way to export names, addresses, and phone numbers into a list? Is there a program or service that can scrape Google Maps without requiring programming skills? I'd really appreciate any recommendations!

Hey man, I totally feel your pain, doing this manually is indeed torture, I've been there! The good news is there are definitely tools that can save you. For a no code solution, you've got options like browser extensions that add export buttons directly to Google Maps, super easy to use, just install and click. Or there are visual scrapers where you enter your search term and get a spreadsheet back without any setup hassle. If you're okay with something slightly more technical but still not coding heavy, there are open source tools that run in the background and can pull hundreds of listings at once. Most of these will grab exactly what you need: names, addresses, phone numbers, websites, and sometimes even ratings and emails if they're public. Just be aware that Google's terms of service don't love scraping, so take it slow, maybe use a VPN if you're doing thousands of listings. But for getting through those hundreds of businesses in your city, these tools will save your sanity.

Dude, I feel your pain. I was in the exact same spot a few months ago, clicking through hundreds of listings and copy-pasting until my brain melted. The good news is, yes, there are definitely tools that do this without needing any coding skills. You literally just type in what you're looking for, like "plumbers in Chicago" or whatever, and a google maps scraper pulls everything into a spreadsheet automatically. Names, addresses, phone numbers, sometimes even websites and emails if you use one with enrichment. I tried one called Outscraper and it saved me days of work. You just set it up, let it run, and come back to a clean list.
