Has anyone here actually managed to bring down CPC without killing their traffic when it comes to adult offers? I kept seeing people say it’s possible, but my costs were just creeping up every week.
When I first started with Advertising Adult Services, I thought it was just about increasing bids to get better placements. That worked for a bit, but my CPC got out of control pretty fast. I was paying more, but conversions didn’t really improve in the same way, which was frustrating.
One thing I realized after a bit of trial and error is that targeting matters way more than I expected. I used to go broad thinking more traffic equals more chances, but it mostly brought low quality clicks. Once I narrowed down geos and adjusted timing, CPC started to drop slowly. Not overnight, but it was noticeable.
Creatives also made a bigger difference than I thought. I had a couple of lazy banners running for too long. When I switched to simpler, more direct ones, CTR improved and somehow that helped reduce the cost per click too. I’m guessing platforms reward better engagement.
Another thing that helped was not chasing every placement. I paused the ones that looked cheap but weren’t converting at all. It felt risky at first, but it actually saved money in the long run.
I’m still testing things, but overall I’d say focusing on cleaner targeting, refreshing creatives, and cutting dead weight made the biggest difference for me. Curious if others here found similar patterns or something completely different.
