Hey Guardians,

I’ve been exploring ways Bungie could enhance the matchmaking system for Raids in Destiny 2. Right now, it often feels hit or miss—sometimes you get an amazing squad, and other times the team composition makes progression really tough. One potential solution could be the use of big data analytics on player performance and behavior.

Imagine if matchmaking could consider not just light level, but also completion history, damage output, support play, and even synergy between subclasses. By analyzing patterns from millions of matches, the system could automatically form groups with balanced roles, reducing frustration and improving the overall raid experience.

Of course, this raises questions about server resources, transparency, and whether it might feel too “engineered.” Still, I think it could strike a better balance between casual and hardcore players while keeping raids more accessible.

What do you all think about a system like this being implemented?

Cheers,
