Is 613 human hair hard to maintain compared to darker human hair colors?

From my experience and what I’ve learned from stylists and other wig and bundle wearers, 613 human hair isn’t necessarily harder to maintain, but it does need a little more attention than darker shades. Since 613 human hair is usually bleached to achieve that platinum blonde color, the hair cuticle can be slightly more fragile than natural dark hair that hasn’t been lightened.

The biggest thing is moisture. 613 human hair tends to get dry faster, so using a good sulfate-free shampoo and a deep conditioner regularly really helps. Leave-in conditioner and lightweight oils (like argan or grapeseed) can keep it soft without weighing it down. Purple shampoo is also helpful if you want to prevent brassiness, especially if you wear the hair often or expose it to sun, heat tools, or pollution.

Heat styling is still possible, but using a heat protectant is super important. Try to keep heat settings moderate to protect the strands long term. When it comes to storage, satin or silk bags and bonnets help reduce dryness and tangling.

Overall, 613 human hair can last a long time and still look great if you focus on hydration, gentle handling, and toning when needed. It’s a beautiful color, just needs a little extra care compared to natural darker tones.
