How important is it for a logo to be recognizable in different languages and cultures? After all, companies are going global and their symbolism needs to remain understandable and attractive in any country. Some brands adapt their logos, while others maintain a consistent style

Let's remember McDonald's: the golden “M” arches work in all countries because the symbolism is simple and universal. But there are cases when logos require adaptation. For example, Coca-Cola in China uses a translation of the name that sounds harmonious and conveys a positive meaning. It is important that the logo conveys the right associations and does not have undesirable connotations in other languages. This is especially important for global brands that strive to create memorable logo while remaining understandable to different audiences. The color palette also matters: red is a symbol of good luck in Asia but can be associated with danger in other countries.

Logos change for various reasons: sometimes it is due to technical requirements, sometimes it is due to rebranding, sometimes it is simply a desire to refresh the image of the company. For example, Google has updated its logo several times, keeping the corporate colors but changing the font style.
