I am preparing my small commercial fishing boat for the season and one of the main tasks has been to update the anchor equipment. We often work in strong currents and unstable weather conditions, so it is critical for me to choose an anchor chain that will be as resistant to loads, rust and wear as possible. The vessel weighs about 4 tons, the anchor is a plow type, weighing 20 kg, a Maxwell electric anchor windlass is installed with a suitable sprocket for a calibrated 8 mm chain. Do you have chains in your range that meet these parameters? I am also interested in whether you have quality certificates, recommendations for the minimum length of the chain for use in the coastal zone, and is it possible to arrange delivery to Portugal with a final price including VAT? I would be grateful if your specialist could provide technical advice before purchasing.

Preparing a fishing vessel is a serious matter, where every detail matters. I always pay special attention to anchor chains, because they ensure the safety and reliability of mooring in the port or at anchor. I recommend looking at the range at https://gaelixmarineservice.com/anchoring-docking-mooring/chains/. They present high-quality and proven chains that can withstand heavy loads and serve for a long time. I have been using their products for several seasons now and can safely recommend them to anyone who wants to be confident in their equipment.
