How to match armor sets

I have been trying to put together a decent looking kit lately but everything I buy just looks messy when I put it on. I see these guys with perfectly matching armor and clothing and it looks so much better than my random skins. What is the best way to find items that actually fit together without spending hours on the market? Do you guys usually go for a specific theme like camo or do you prefer something more flashy and colorful?

I used to spend way too much time scrolling through the Steam market trying to see if colors matched. It was a total pain until I found this Rust skin sets collection on the CobaltLab blog. It really simplifies things because they show you which items actually look good together as a full set. I personally think a clean, unified look makes you stand out more than just having one expensive item. My advice is to find a set that fits your favorite biome, like snow or forest, so you actually get some utility out of it too. It is a much better way to spend your money than just buying random skins that don't fit.
