Keeping your curly hair extensions looking vibrant and new, washing them every 7 to 10 wears is ideal. Unlike natural hair, extensions don’t produce oils, so frequent washing can lead to dryness and tangling. When it’s time to cleanse, use a sulfate-free, moisturizing shampoo to gently remove buildup without stripping moisture, apply a deep conditioner to preserve smoothness and moisture.
For daily maintenance, refresh your curls with a leave-in conditioner or curl mist, and detangle with a wide-tooth comb to prevent shedding. If you use styling products frequently, a co-wash between washes can help keep your extensions lightweight and defined. Always air-dry or diffuse on low heat to protect the curl pattern.
