Selecting the appropriate bundle length will be based on the style you desire, your height, and the level of natural you wish for your extensions. First, consider the style you want—straight, curly, or wavy. Straight bundles will appear longer because they lie flat, whereas curly or wavy bundles are shorter because the hair winds or waves up. This is why you might have to select two to four inches longer for curly hair in order to get the same appearance as straight hair.

Your height is also a factor. A 20-inch bundle might drop to mid-back on a tall person but more toward the waist on a shorter person. To avoid being surprised, measure from the crown of your head to where you'd like the hair to lie. This ensures the length of the bundles and closure corresponds to what you want.

For a stacked or more voluminous style, most people mix two various lengths, for example, 18 inches and 20 inches. For a more natural look, short lengths (12–16 inches) are ideal, while longer lengths (20–30 inches) produce a dramatic effect. The selection of the best bundle length depends on finding the right blend of your preferred style, texture, and comfort.
