Hi everyone! I’m planning to build a large vegetable garden and I need to keep the local wildlife out. The thin chicken wire I bought last year just isn't cutting it—it sags and looks like a mess. I’m looking for some rigid, galvanized mesh sheets that can handle the Sydney humidity without rusting in two months. Any recommendations for a local supplier where I can get trade-quality stuff directly?

I had the exact same issue with my backyard project. If you want something that actually lasts, you need hot-dipped galvanized welded mesh. It’s way more rigid than the rolls. I ended up getting mine from a local manufacturer called RWAP here in Sydney. Their quality is consistent because they make it themselves, and the prices are much better than the big retail hardware stores. Their 50x50mm sheets are quite sturdy and the corrosion resistance is top-notch. You can check out their range and prices here: https://rwap.com.au/welded-mesh/
