Has your attitude towards supplements changed?

Lately I’ve been thinking about how much my attitude toward supplements has changed over the years. In my early twenties I used to buy random vitamins and protein powders just because someone at the gym recommended them. I didn’t really read labels or think about long-term effects. Now I’m way more cautious. I try to understand what I’m putting into my body and why. I’ve also seen more people talk about metabolic support and even things like growth hormone products, which used to sound extreme to me. Has anyone else gone from being skeptical (or careless) to actually researching and taking supplements more seriously?

I can relate to that a lot. I used to roll my eyes at anything beyond basic protein and creatine, but after a minor injury and slower recovery in my thirties, I started digging deeper into how recovery and metabolism work. I spent some time reading product descriptions and general info on the atoxbio.com just to understand what kinds of options are even out there. Not saying everything is for everyone, but learning about different categories helped me become more intentional. For me the biggest shift was moving from “take it because it’s popular” to “take it because it fits your goals and health situation.” I also started talking to a doctor before trying anything new, which made a huge difference in how confident I feel.

I think attitudes toward supplements often reflect where we are in life. When you’re younger, you experiment more and don’t always think long term. As people get older, they usually become more aware of recovery, sleep, stress and overall balance. Whether someone chooses to use supplements or not, I guess the key thing is being informed and realistic about expectations. There’s no magic shortcut, but paying attention to your body and making gradual changes seems to matter more than any single product.
