I’m running into a weird issue and wanted to check if anyone else has faced something similar. Recently, I started moving a few of my older game saves to a secondary SSD and also syncing them to cloud storage for backup. Ever since then, a couple of my games started throwing “save file corrupted” errors.
The strange part — the files look fine in size and date, and even restoring from cloud backup sometimes works but not always. It mostly happens in games that I’ve moved between drives or synced online.
I’ve already tried verifying game files, disabling cloud sync, and checking disk health — no issues found. So I’m wondering if this could be a metadata or permission issue caused by syncing across drives and cloud?
Has anyone here had problems with saves getting corrupted after using cloud sync or moving files to another drive? Would love to know what worked for you to fix it.
