We’re currently reviewing how we handle our day-to-day IT operations as our systems and user base continue to grow. Internal management has worked so far, but it’s becoming harder to keep up with security updates, monitoring, user support, and infrastructure planning while also focusing on core business goals.

During a recent strategy discussion, we considered partnering with a provider of managed IT services to reduce downtime and improve overall efficiency. The idea of predictable costs and 24/7 support is appealing, but we want to understand the real-world value.

For those who use an external provider, how responsive are they when issues arise? Do they truly act as a proactive partner, or mostly react to problems? How do you handle data security, compliance, and access control with a third party?
