Hi everyone,

I’m planning to upgrade my bathroom and am considering installing a towel radiator, but I’m a bit overwhelmed by the options. I’ve seen vertical, horizontal, electric, and hydronic models, each with different sizes and heating capacities.

I’m unsure how to determine the right size for my space and how much heat it can realistically provide. Also, are there significant energy differences between electric and water-connected models? Any advice on brands, installation tips, or maintenance would be really helpful.

How do you decide which towel radiator is best for your bathroom?

Hi! Choosing a towel radiator can definitely feel overwhelming, but it helps to focus on a few things. First, consider the size of your bathroom and how much heat you actually need; a good rule of thumb is around 100 watts per square meter. Vertical radiators save wall space, while horizontal ones give you more room for towels. When looking at different options, towel radiators come in hydronic models that connect to your central heating and are usually more energy-efficient, whereas electric ones are easier to install and can run independently but may cost a bit more to operate. Materials like stainless steel are durable and easy to clean. Ultimately, think about whether you want it mainly to heat the room or just dry towels, because that will guide your choice.
