I am currently dealing with some old PST files that are in ANSI format, and they have reached the size limitation issue (2GB). Because of this, Outlook often becomes unstable and sometimes even corrupts the file. I learned that upgrading ANSI PST files to Unicode PST can resolve the size limitation problem and make them compatible with newer versions of Outlook. Can anyone guide me on the best and most reliable ways to upgrade or convert ANSI PST files into Unicode PST format?

PST file is used in Microsoft Outlook to store emails, calendar, contacts and other data. But older versions of Outlook (Outlook 2002 and earlier) used ANSI PST file format which had a size limit of only 2GB. When this limit is reached, the file starts getting corrupted. Newer versions (Outlook 2003 and later) use Unicode PST file which has a size limit of 20GB to 50GB. Therefore, for better performance and to store large data, it is necessary to upgrade ANSI PST to Unicode PST.

I also had the same problem earlier. I tried many manual methods like creating a new PST in Outlook and copying the data, but due to the large file, it was very time consuming. Later I used Softaken Upgrade PST Tool.

This tool is very easy and converts ANSI PST to Unicode PST in just a few clicks.
It upgrades even large size PST files without any limit.
There is no loss of data (emails, contacts, calendar all remain safe).
It easily handles corrupt or problematic PST as well.
If you are repeatedly getting troubled by Outlook's 2GB limit, then I would suggest you try Upgrade PST Tool once.
