Bags that work for both city walks and hikes

Does anyone know a good bag that works for both city strolls and light hikes? I want to avoid backpacks, just something small and versatile.

I had the same dilemma and ended up using this fanny pack for everyday wear It’s stylish enough for urban looks but durable and compact for trails too. I’ve taken it on short hikes and also to brunch — works in both worlds.
